Mia Lee is a multidisciplinary artist known for her paintings, sketches and textile works. A proud native of the south side of Chicago, Lee’s work focuses on figurative drawings and paintings that depict familiar human experiences and emotions from a first and third person perspective.
Her combination of cartoonist style and surrealist references mixed with minimal colors and chaotic shapes are reminiscent of some of her favorite artists George Condo,Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, Francis Bacon, and Kerry James Marshall
Mia Lee is here to break the boundaries of what femininity looks like in street art and fashion.
